Epicurean Coffee: Believe

*This post contains affiliate links

Likely the first thing that will stand out to you about Epicurean Coffee is the lovely bag with gold cursive lettering. That alone makes this coffee perfect to add to a gift basket. What impressed me, even more, is that this is a low-acid coffee made with single-origin, organically and shade grown 100% Arabica beans from Colombia.

If you’re a regular reader of the blog, you might remember the post I wrote about the benefits of low-acid coffee. Low-acid coffee is easier on your teeth and stomach and switching to a low-acid coffee can actually improve your sleep if you're prone to nighttime reflux. You might also remember my post about why you should drink organic coffee. One of the main reasons I gave was that pesticides actually strip the coffee beans of their health benefits.

So, I think it’s pretty fair to say that I was sort of in love with this brand before the first sip.

Now, on to the tasting.

This one made my place smell amazing as I was brewing it.

On the nose, I got notes of dark fruits, a bit of cherry, and a bit of toasted almond

It was very smooth with notes of dark chocolate and just a bit of earthiness. It's a wonderful full-bodied dark blend. This would pair well with a nice hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs, and fried potatoes. It would also pair perfectly with a decadent double chocolate brownie.

This is definitely one that I will keep in my regular coffee rotation. If you want to check it out for yourself just click here
