Oliva & Morena Equilibrium Day and Night Serum Set Review

Equilibrium Day & Night Serum Set - $35 for 2 1oz bottles

There's nothing like a cozy winter night at home with a cup of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, Netflix, and the heat on high while I snuggle under a blanket. I enjoy all things hygge, that is until my heater starts to dry out my skin.

So I figured, what better time to try out a new serum?

Oliva & Morena only use plant-based ingredients. So all of their products are paraben-free and don't include any synthetic fragrances or colorants. Most importantly they are also cruelty-free, something all beauty and skincare companies should be.

Not just did they check off my list of what I look for in any new skincare product, but they were incredibly reasonably priced at just $35 for a day and night serum set.

All of their products are small batch. Perhaps for that reason, popular products often run out of stock on their site fairly quickly, so I was super excited when I heard they were coming out with a new serum line and I would be one of the first ones to try it.

So first things first, the packaging these come in is amazing. When I opened my parcel from them I was stunned by how beautiful everything was.

It looked like a special order from a Victorian apothecary shop. The two brown glass eye dropper bottles containing the serum came in a little fabric bag all wrapped up in lovely floral paper with a mint green wax seal.

I was most excited about the balancing day serum. This one promised a healthy balance of oil production, wrinkle reduction, a nice boost of vitamin C. It also includes squalene, which is proven to improve skin cells on the cellular level and reduce redness and inflammation.

This one ended up being my favorite of the two serums. It gave my skin a lovely glow every morning after I put it on. My formerly dull winter skin benefitted from this one. It also is made with primrose, lavender, and rosemary oil, all adding a fantastic scent to it.

It feels light on your skin, but honestly, I didn't even feel the need to put a day cream over this one since my skin instantly felt so soft.

The balancing night serum still promises to reduce wrinkles and create a healthy balance of oil production, but the main difference here is that it uses hyaluronic acid in it's lowest molecular form. This prevents and heals dry skin. It's also excellent at reducing and preventing wrinkles.

It smells just as amazing as the day serum, but it does go on a bit heavier.

This wasn't just a lovely looking set, but a real lifesaver for my winter skin. At 32, I've become very picky about what I use on my skin, but this set was amazing. My skin feels wonderfully soft and it has a soft lovely glow to it now.
