Review: Care Remote - The Socks You Didn't Know You Needed

My interest was immediately piqued when I first heard about Care Remote boot socks. It's essentially a 3-in-1 sock designed for therapeutic uses, the outdoors, and casual wear. They promised to speed up the recovery process after work or exercise, reduce blisters and keep feet dry and odor-free.
Now I'm not someone that would go out of my way to buy therapeutic socks, but I do sometimes have minor issues with my ankles from repeatedly twisting my ankles in my early 20s. It all started with a two-day event hopping around in Kangoo boots for a promotion for an emerging brand at the New York Toy Fair. Instead of going to the doctor I iced it and went on working in heels soon after. Needless to say, I ended up reinjuring it a couple of times before it finally healed. So, I was excited to try out a therapeutic sock that didn't look like a therapeutic sock.
The socks almost looked too big for me, but they were form-fitting when I put them on. It's hard to explain, but the fit was somehow both tight and breathable. I don't think it would be possible with these to have your socks slide down into your boots.

I luckily got these in early fall when I could experience them in both cold and warm weather. Although they are pretty thin, they kept my feet warm when it was cold out. Yet, when I wore these on a walk on a hotter day my feet stayed cool and sweat-free in my boots, even though I worked up a sweat otherwise.
While I honestly don't know how these compare to other therapeutic socks, I will say that I was able to hike without my ankles having any soreness - a mild, but a fairly common issue for me.
Overall, I was super impressed with these. I'm definitely going to make sure I wear these every time I go for a hike or have an intense workout. If you want to learn more about them you can check out their whole collection at www.CareRemoteStore.com
